This type is listed for 1758 only and was struck in Rome. More mezzi baiocchi were struck 1758-59 (KM 1183.1), then no more were made until 1783. The early coinage of the Papal States used an antique monetary system. After 1740, five quattrini = one baiocco; 100 baiocchi = one scudo.
