Künker sale 403, lot 1547

This specimen was lot 1547 in Künker sale 403 (Osnabrück, March 2024), where it sold for €400 (about US$525 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"PAPST BENEDIKT XIII., 1724-1730. Die Münzstätte Rom. Grosso del Giubileo AN I/1725, Rom. Vorzüglich. Exemplar der Slg. Klaus Bronny, Auktion Münzen & Medaillen Deutschland 26, Stuttgart 2008, Nr. 648. (Papal States, Benedict XIII, 1724-30, grosso of the Jubilee year 1725, Rome mint. Extremely fine.)"

Another grosso issued on this occasion (KM 806) showed the Holy Door on the reverse but no arms on the obverse, only the papal tiara and the crossed keys.

Specification: 1.34 g, 0.917 fine silver, this specimen 1,49 g.
