This mezzo baiocco was struck during the reign of Benedict XIII (1724-30). The SCWC notes this as undated but the regnal year "AN. II" is clearly visible on the obverse of the first specimen, identifying it as an issue of 1725. Gubbio also minted another mezzo baiocco for the Holy Year (KM 110). The mezzo baiocco was half a baiocco or one two-hundredth of a scudo. Many varieties were issued in the 1720's.
