This specimen was lot 2768 in Sincona sale 26 (Zürich, October 2015), where it sold for 2,000 CHF (about US$2,471 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"Nurnberg, Taler 1766. Mit Laubrand. Sehr selten. Vorzüglich-FDC. Prachtexemplar mit min. Justierspuren (Germany, city of Nurnberg, thaler of 1766, with leafy border. Very rare, extremely fine to uncirculated. Proof example with slight adjustment marks.)"
Two thalers are noted for 1766; Dav-2497, where eagle on the reverse has a crown, and this one, where one crown serves for both.
