Künker sale 336, lot 6585

This specimen was lot 6585 in Künker sale 336 (Osnabrück, Germany, March 2020), where it sold for €700 (about US$916 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"NÜRNBERG, STADT, 1/2 Dukat 1692. Lammprägung. GOLD. Vorzüglich-Stempelglanz. (Germany, city of Nuremberg, half ducat of 1692, Paschal lamb. Extremely fine to uncirculated.)"

While this type of 1692 is not rare, it is scarce compared to the 1700-GFN half ducat with a similar design which appears so often in auctions.

Specification: 1.75 g, 0.986 fine gold, this specimen 1,73 g.
