This specimen was lot 20671 in Heritage sale 3021 (New York, January 2013), where it sold for $1,997.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Nurnberg. Free City gold Ducat 1649, MS61 NGC, fully brilliant and attractive, a premium example for this designation. The obverse depicts the Lamb of God with PAX banner." This type was struck 1649 only and tho not cheap, is more available than other Nurnberger ducats of the seventeenth century. The Paschal lamb type was revived after 1700.
