This specimen was lot 11146 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it sold for €168 (about US$175). The catalog description[1] noted, "NORWAY. 12 Skilling, 1724-HCM. Kongsberg Mint. Frederik IV. NGC AU Details--Cleaned. From the L. E. Bruun Collection." This type was struck 1717-24 in substantial quantities and is not rare. This date comes with the mintmaster's initials spelled "HCM" or "H.C.M." One specie daler was six mark or 96 skilling.

Recorded mintage: 1,194,000.

Specification: 3.90 g, 0.562 fine silver, 23.8 mm diameter, this specimen 5.21 g.
