This specimen was lot 11144 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it sold for €145 (about US$151). The catalog description[1] noted, "NORWAY. 16 Skilling, 1717-HCM. Kongsberg Mint. Frederik IV. NGC EF Details--Reverse Scratch. From the L. E. Bruun Collection." This type was struck 1715-17 in substantial quantities and is not rare. One specie daler was six mark or 96 skilling.
