CNG Lissner sale, lot 672

This specimen was lot 672 in Classical Numismatic Group's sale of the Lissner Collection (Chicago, August 2014), where it sold for $968. This type was struck 1850-67 in substantial numbers tho choice specimens are always at a premium. The 1861 is common.

Recorded mintage: 5,078,886.

Specification: 10 g, 0.945 fine silver, 28 mm diameter, edge lettered ★ GOD ★ ZY ★ MET ★ ONS.
