This specimen was lot 33528 in Heritage sale 3064 (Chicago, April 2018), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "Tribhuvana Bir Bikram gold Mohar VS 1983 (1926) MS66 NGC. A genuinely flawless piece full of golden luster with crisp details set amidst satiny fields." This issue of king Tribhuvana Bir Bikram (r. 1911-50) is listed for VS 1969-2005 (common era 1912-48). No date is given a premium, more likely due to lack of interest than any variation in rarity. Nepal was and is an independent nation between India and Tibet but under the strong influence of the British raj. Mohars also exist in silver.
