Nepal VS1977 2 mohar

from the Stack's Bowers 2019 ANA sale, lot 23316

This specimen was lot 23316 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Chicago, August 2019), where it did not sell. The catalog description^[1] noted, "NEPAL. 2 Mohar, VS 1977 (1920). PCGS MS-65 Gold Shield. Tone-free and entirely fresh with no imperfections that serve to distract the eye." While the single mohar was struck in silver and gold, the double mohar was struck only in silver. This type was struck 1911-32 and catalogs for very little.
