This specimen was lot 2434 in Künker sale 404 (Osnabrück, March 2024), where it sold for €80 (about US$105 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"DAS ERZBISTUM MAINZ. ERZBISCHOF ANSELM FRANZ VON INGELHEIM, 1679-1695. Die Münzstätte Erfurt. 15 Kreuzer (1/4 Sortengulden) 1690, Erfurt. Münzmeister Johann Christoph Staude. Brustbild r. in geistlichem Ornat, am Armabschnitt die Wertzahl XV in Oval//Mit Kurhut bedecktes, vierfeldiges Wappen (Mainz/Ingelheim), dahinter Schwert und Krummstab gekreuzt, zu den Seiten je ein Palmzweig, oben die Signatur ICS zwischen der geteilten Jahreszahl. Sehr schön. Erworben 2023 von Manfred Olding, Osnabrück. (Germany, archbishopric of Mainz, Anselm Francis of Ingelheim, 1679-95, fifteen kreuzer or quarter gulden of 1690, Erfurt mint. Obverse: bust right in clerical robes, value on truncation; reverse: capped and quartered arms of Mainz and Ingelheim, cross sword and crozier behind, palm branches around, date below. Very fine.)"

Anselm Francis of Ingelheim (1634-95) succeeded Charles Henry as archbishop of Mainz in 1679. Unlike many of his predecessors, he held no other office. Mainz was occupied by the French army in 1688 which was besieged by imperial forces in 1689. The siege and resulting evacuation by the French (taking everything with them not nailed down) ruined a town already in decline. This type was struck in several varieties. This example shows the engraver's initials above the elector's cap; KM 200 has the initials above the sword. The photos in the SCWC show the value (XV) on the reverse.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: silver, this specimen 5,00 g.
