This specimen was lot 30547 in Heritage sale 3029 (New York, January 2014), where it sold for $1,410. The catalog description[1] noted, "Mainz. Anselm Casimir Wamboldt von Umstadt gold Ducat 1645, AU55 NGC. The flan contains several natural undulations that have left areas of unevenness in the strike, but the surface quality is impressive with glowing luster around the devices and fully original color. A curious type with charm that is aided by the intermingled nature of the design elements. Ex: 'Colonel' E.H.R. Green; Green Estate' Partnership of Eric P Newman/B.G. Johnson." Friedberg lists this type for 1645-46 and notes it as fairly common tho not cheap.
