This specimen was lot 2331 in Künker sale 404 (Osnabrück, March 2024), where it sold for €1,000 (about US$1,312 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"DAS ERZBISTUM MAINZ. ERZBISCHOF ANSELM CASIMIR WAMBOLDT VON UMSTADT, 1629-1647. Die Münzstätte Mainz. Dukat 1642, Mainz. Ohne Signatur. ANSELMVS : CASIMIRVS • D : G • AR • EPI • MOG • S • R - I • Mit Kurhut bedecktes und verziertes, vierfeldiges Wappen (Mainz/Wamboldt-Umstadt), dahinter Schwert und Krummstab gekreuzt//MONE / TA • NOVA / • AVREA • / ELECTOR / MOGVN / 1642, umher Lorbeerkranz ohne Beeren. Von großer Seltenheit. Sehr schön +. Exemplar der Auktion Gerhard Hirsch Nachf. 353, München 2019, Nr. 4344. (Germany, archbishopric of Mainz, Anselm Casimir Wamboldt of Umstadt, 1629-47, ducat of 1642, Mainz mint, without signature.
