This specimen was lot 2322 in Künker sale 404 (Osnabrück, March 2024), where it sold for €4,000 (about US$5,249 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"DAS ERZBISTUM MAINZ. ERZBISCHOF ANSELM CASIMIR WAMBOLDT VON UMSTADT, 1629-1647. Die Münzstätte Mainz. 2 Dukaten 1647, Mainz. Münzmeister Ernst Textor. Brustbild r. in geistlichem Ornat//Mit Kurhut bedecktes und verziertes, vierfeldiges Wappen (Mainz/Wamboldt-Umstadt), dahinter Schwert und Krummstab gekreuzt. GOLD. Sehr seltener Jahrgang. Min. gewellt, Stempelfehler, kl. Prägeschwäche, fast Stempelglanz. Exemplar der Auktion Gorny & Mosch 294, München 2023, Nr. 1420. (Germany, archbishopric of Mainz, Anselm Casimir Wamboldt of Umstadt, 1629-47, double ducat of 1647, Mainz mint. Obverse: bust right in episcopal robe; reverse: quartered arms of Mainz and Wamboldt-Umstadt, crozier and sword behind, cardinal's hat above.
