This specimen was lot 2503 in Goldberg sale 103 (Los Angeles, February 2018), where it sold for $517. The catalog description[1] noted, "Latvia. 20 Lati, 2008. One year type. In case with certificate. Gem Brilliant Uncirculated." This NCLT was struck in Vienna. The enigmatic design doesn't seem to have an obvious theme. Latvia joined the euro in 2014 and abandoned the latu.
