This specimen was lot 39006 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2025), where it sold for $145. The catalog description[1] noted, "ITALY. Kingdom of Napoleon. Lira, 1811/09-M. Milan Mint. Napoleon I. PCGS Genuine--Cleaned, AU Details." This type was struck at Milan, Bologna and Venice 1808-14. This overdate is listed in the SCWC as 1811/08. The one lira piece matched the French silver franc.
Recorded mintage: 1,185,000, the highest mintage date.
Specification: 5 g, 0.900 fine silver, .144 troy oz ASW, lettered edge.
