This specimen was lot 2760 in Stephen Album sale 45 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2023), where it sold for $450. The catalog description[1] noted, "KINGDOM OF ITALY: Napoleon I, 1804-1814, AE 3 centesimi, 1811-M, a lovely example with much mint red! PCGS graded MS63 RB, ex Joe Sedillot Collection." The issues of the Napoleonic kingdom of Italy were meant to match the French franc Germinal. Thus, the silver lira was 5 g, 0.900 fine silver, just like the French one franc. This type was struck at Bologna (1807-08, 1810, 1813), Milan (1807-13) and Venice (1807-10). It is common in circulated condition.
