This specimen was lot 47729 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2026), where it sold for $720. The catalog description[1] noted, "IRAN. Qajar Dynasty. Toman, AH 1267 (1850/1). Tehran Mint. Nasir al-Din Shah. NGC AU-55. From the Genden Collection." This type was struck at Tehran, one of twelve mints to do so. It is noted in the CWC for AH 1265, 1275, 1277 and 1281, making this an unlisted date. One kran was one thousand dinars and one toman was ten krans.
