This specimen was lot 76518 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, September 2024), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "IRAN. Qajar Dynasty. Kran, AH 1268 (1851/52). Kirman Mint. Nasir al-Din Shah. NGC EF-45. Appealing on account of a bold strike and reserved brilliance, this appealing Kran is certain to please." This specimen was offered again as lot 38782 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2025), where it sold for $65. This type was struck at Kirman AH 1265, 1268-1293, one of 18 mints total. One kran was one thousand dinars and one toman was ten krans.
