This specimen was lot 23061 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2020), where it sold for $75. The catalog description[1] noted, "INDIA. Rupee, 1947. Bombay Mint. NGC MS-62. Struck in the last days of the Raj. Dot below date. Some bagmarks but no trace of hairlines." India obtained her independence that year and the monarch was dropped from the coinage.
Recorded mintage: 118,028,000 + proofs + 41,911,000 from the Lahore mint.
