This specimen was lot 2761 in Stephen Album sale 38 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2020), where it sold for $47.60. The catalog description[1] noted, "BRITISH INDIA: George V, 1910-1936, AE 1/12 anna, 1926(b), NGC graded MS66 RB, Sanjay C. Gandhi Collection." The twelfth anna was 1/192nd of a rupee and was the smallest denomination struck under the predecimal system. It was struck in moderate numbers throughout the Raj until 1942. The 1926 is common. The presence of a dot below the date marks this as a product of the Bombay mint, which struck this type 1923-28 and 1936.
