This specimen was lot 4732 in Künker sale 406 (Osnabrück, March 2024), where it sold for €2,400 (about US$3,149 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"British India. Bombay. Ku.-Quarter Anna 1833 (1249 AH), In US-Plastikholder der NGC mit der Bewertung PF 64 BN (6638242-012). Selten in dieser Erhaltung. Polierte Platte, min. berührt. (India, East India Co., copper quarter anna of 1833. Graded NGC PF-64BN, scarce in this quality, polished fields, minor hairlines.)"
This type was struck 1833 along with KM 234 (convex shield). The East India Company was dissolved and its assets taken over by the British government after the Mutiny of 1857.
