This specimen was lot 75448 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it sold for $192. The catalog description[1] noted, "INDIA. Hyderabad. Rupee, AH 1322 Year 39 (1904). Hyderabad Mint. Mir Mahbub Ali Khan II (under Edward VII as Emperor). PCGS MS-63+." The princely state of Hyderabad was one of the last absorbed into the Republic of India in 1948. It was also the largest state and residence of the last remnant of Mughal suzerainty in central India. Many of the issues, including this one, show the Chahar Minar gateway on the obverse.
