Sincona sale 38, lot 2048

This specimen was lot 2048 in Sincona sale 38 (Zürich, May 2017), where it sold for 150 CHF (about US$180 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"Ungarn, Volksrepublik 1949-1989 50 Forint 1961. 80. Geburtstag von Bela Bartok. Nur 2500 Exemplare geprägt. Vorzüglich-FDC. (peoples republic of Hungary, 1949-89, fifty forint of 1961, on the 80th birthday of Bela Bartok. Only 2500 pieces struck. Extremely fine-uncirculated.)"

This commemorative is accompanied by a 100 forint (KM 565) and 500 forint (KM 566) in gold and a twenty-five forint in silver.
