This specimen was lot 3749 in Sincona sale 83 (Zürich, May 2023), where it sold for 300 CHF (about US$402 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "UNGARN, Volksrepublik 1949-1989. 50 Forint 1961, Budapest. 150. Geburtstag von Franz Liszt. Selten. Nur 2'500 Exemplare geprägt. FDC (people's republic of Hungary, 1949-89, fifty forint of 1961, Budapest mint, for the 150th birthday of Franz Liszt. Rare. Only 2,500 pieces struck, Uncirculated)." This commemorative was struck in several denominations.
