This specimen was lot 2066 in SINCONA Auction 97 (Zürich, May 2025), where it sold for 1,800 CHF (about US$2,611 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"RDR / ÖSTERREICH, Franz Joseph I. 1848-1916. Dukat 1868 KB, Kremnitz. Selten. Vorzüglich. Minimal gewellt. (empire of Austria, Francis Joseph I, 1848-1916, ducat of 1868, Kremnitz mint, Rare, Extremely Fine, Minimally wavy flan.)"
This type of 1868-69 is rather scarcer than prior types despite the substantial mintage. Ducats were struck for Hungary as late as 1881.
