Hungary 1677-KB 15 krajczar
This specimen was lot 4776 in Künker sale 441 (Osnabrück, March 2026), where it sold for €240 (about US$330 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"RÖMISCH-DEUTSCHES REICH, Leopold I., 1657-1705. 15 Kreuzer 1677 KB, Kremnitz. In US-Plastikholder der NGC mit der Bewertung MS 64 (6644074-007). Vorzüglich-Stempelglanz. (Holy Roman Empire, Leopold I, 1657-1705, fifteen kreuzer of 1677, Kremnitz mint. Graded NGC MS-64, extremely fine to uncirculated.)"
This type was struck at Kremnitz for Hungary 1661-67, 1674-86. The thaler was in the mid-seventeenth century equal to ninety kreuzer, making this denomination one-sixth thaler. Fifteen kreuzers were also struck at Pressburg (KM 192), Nagybanya (KM 191), Vienna, Linz and Hall.
