This specimen was lot 1037 in Sedwick Treasure Auction 28 (Winter Park, FL, November 2020), where it sold for $312. The catalog description[1] noted, "Honduras, 50 centavos, 1896/86, with P on pedestal, rare, NGC VF 20, finest and only example in NGC census, ex-O'Brien. Crude strike as usual (old and worn-out dies) but colorfully toned (bluish-purple) and with clear P randomly placed below and to the right of Lady Liberty, with a few small marks and some wear but apparently the only example of this key date that is graded so far (none at PCGS). Pedigreed to the J. O'Brien collection (stated on label)." This date was struck 1883-87, 1896-97 and all the way to 1910.

Reported Mintage: unknown but a rare date.

Specification: 12.5 g, 0.900 fine silver.
