This specimen was lot 668 in Stack's Coin Galleries sale (New York, December 2009), where it sold for $4,370. The catalog description noted, "NETHERLANDS. HOLLAND. Double Ducaton, 1672. Charging Knight over 4½ X RES PARVAE CRESCUNT CONCORDIA. A delightfully thick and heavy silver piece. Reflective silver gray surfaces. About Uncirculated." The SCWC notes that the regular issue runs 1672-94 and 1716-21; double ducatons are noted for 1671-93.

Recorded mintage: unknown but scarce.

Specification: 65.56 g, 0.941 fine silver; this specimen 42.4 mm, 65.1 grams.
