The first specimen was lot 11428 in Ponterio sale 169 (Baltimore, November 2012), where it sold for $588. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. Revolution Chihuahua, Hidalgo del Parral. 2 Centavos, 1913. Brass. Very scarce. With Mr. Wood's hand-lettered cardboard holder. EXTREMELY FINE. Ex: Howland Wood Collection." The second specimen was lot 74804 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2022), where it sold for $528. The catalog description[2] noted, "MEXICO. Chihuahua. 2 Centavos, 1913. NGC MS-64 Brown. A boldly struck and crudely engraved coin, with satiny luster and dark brown patina throughout." The copper issue of this type is common; the first example is a scarce brass issue. The third specimen was lot 73140 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, October 2025), where it sold for $456. The catalog description[3] noted, "MEXICO. Chihuahua. 2 Centavos, 1913. PCGS MS-62 Brown."

Recorded mintage: unknown but common in copper.
