Hannover 1837-B pfennig
This specimen was lot 2529 in Steve Album Auction 54 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2026), where it sold for $90. The catalog description[1] noted, "HANOVER: William IV, 1830-1837, AE pfennig, 1837, mintmaster initial B, a wonderful mint state example! PCGS graded MS64 BN. William IV was King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland and King of Hanover from June 26, 1830 until his death in 1837. He was the last king and penultimate monarch of the United Kingdom's House of Hanover." William IV was the last king of England to also rule in Hannover. This type was struck 1835-37. One thaler was 360 pfennig.
