This specimen was lot 33041 in Heritage sale 3049 (Long Beach, September 2016), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "Brunswick-Luneburg-Calenberg-Hannover. George III of England 1/2 Taler 1801-C MS64+ NGC, Clausthal mint. Light silvery toning with some claims to a higher grade." This issue was accompanied by a two-thirds thaler (KM 412) and a single thaler (Dav-660).
Recorded mintage: unknown but scarce.
