This specimen was lot 55603 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Pittsburgh, PA, August 2023), where it sold for $80. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Brunswick-Luneburg: Hannover. 4 Mariengroschen, 1777-LCR. Zellerfeld Mint. Georg III (George III of Great Britain). PCGS AU-55. From the Robert C. Knepper Collection." The four mariengroschen was one ninth of a thaler or one-sixth of a gulden. This type was struck 1762-86 and is common.
