Künker sale 386, lot 5222

This specimen was lot 5222 in Künker sale 386 (Osnabrück, March 2023), where it sold for €220 (about US$284 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BRAUNSCHWEIG-CALENBERG-HANNOVER, AB 1692 KURFÜRSTENTUM HANNOVER, Georg III. 1760-1820. 2/3 Taler (24 Mariengroschen) 1775, Zellerfeld. Hübsche Patina, vorzüglich. (electorate of Hannover, George III, 1760-1820, two-thirds thaler of 1775, Zellerfeld mint. Handsome patina, extremely fine.)"

This "wild man" gulden was struck 1762-84 and has a moderate catalog value. Other gulden for 1775 include KM 341 (value reverse) and KM 365 (bust obverse).
