This specimen was lot 74574 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, September 2023), where it sold for $100. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Brunswick-Luneburg: Hannover. 24 Mariengroschen (2/3 Taler), 1767-IAP. Zellerfeld Mint. Georg III (George III of Great Britain). PCGS Genuine--Cleaned, AU Details. Though some minor cleaning is noted, this example has taken on some rather wild color surrounding the wildman, making him appear that much more wild. From the Robert C. Knepper Collection."
