This specimen was lot 34024 in Heritage sale 3067 (Long Beach, September 2018), where it sold for $288. The catalog description[1] noted, "German States: Brunswick-Luneburg-Calenburg-Hannover. George Ludwig Taler 1719-HCB VF30 NGC. A superb, clean example with even wear and toning, and lovely surfaces surrounding well-struck devices. From the Collection of a Berkshire Gentleman." This type was struck 1719-27 and is fairly available, tho less so than the concurrent "wild man", leaping stallion or St. Andrew thalers (Dav-2077, Dav-2072, Dav-2075). Georg Ludwig was also king George I of England.
