The first specimen was lot 955 in Jean Elsen sale 114 (Brussels, September 2012) where it sold for €120 (about US$185 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"ALLEMAGNE, BRUNSWICK-CALENBERG-HANOVRE, Georg Ludwig (1698-1714), AR Ausbeutetaler, 1707 HB, Clausthal. Droit: Ecu couronné. Revers: Saint André debout de face, tête à droite, tenant sa croix. Petits coups. Beau à Très Beau. (Germany, Brunswick-Calenberg-Hannover, George Louis (1698-1714), silver thaler of 1707, Clausthal mint. Obverse: crowned arms; reverse: St. Andrew facing, bearing a cross. Small nicks, Fine to Very fine.)"

The second specimen was lot 233 in Sincona Auction 103 (Zürich, May 2026), where it sold for 3,000 CHF (about US$4,572 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[2] noted,

"DEUTSCHLAND Braunschweig-Lüneburg-Calenberg-Hannover. Georg Ludwig (Georg I.), 1698-1727. Taler 1702, Clausthal. Ausbeute der Grube St. Andreas. Münzmeister Heinrich Bonhorst. Selten in dieser Erhaltung. NGC MS64. Hübsche Patina / Attractively toned. Das durch NGC höchstbewertete Exemplar. (Germany, electorate of Hannover, George Louis, 1698-1727, thaler of 1702, Clausthal mint, for the St. Andrew mine. Rare in this condition, Finest certified by NGC.)"

This type is listed for 1705-10 and is the most common Hanoverian thaler of the period. In 1714, the elector became king of England on the death of queen Anne. Other thalers (Dav-2058, Dav-2065) exist for 1707.
