Sincona sale 86, lot 1820

This specimen was lot 1820 in Sincona sale 86 (Zürich, October 2023), where it sold for 180 CHF (about US$242 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"Elizabeth II. 1952-2022. Proof Quarter Sovereign 2014, Royal Mint Llantrisant. Fourth bust. Rare. Only 1,886 (+1,044 in sets) pieces struck. NGC PF70 ULTRA CAMEO."

This type is listed in the SCWC for 2009-11 yet later dates exist, as this example attests.

Specification: 2.00 g, 0.917 fine gold, 13.5 mm diameter, this specimen 2.00 g.
