This specimen was part of lot 40382 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2019), which sold for $6,300. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. Britannia Five Piece Gold Proof Set, 2014. All NGC PROOF-70 ULTRA CAMEO. S-PBG42, minus the 50 Pence (S-4740). A flawless, identically graded set with hard mirrored fields and frosted cameo devices. Recorded on each NGC insert as "One of the First 150 Struck". A highly popular set with past sales in this ultimate grade having surpassed the five figure mark on numerous occasions. Specific contents include the following: 1) Pound NGC PF-70."
