This specimen was lot 70865 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, February 2020), where it sold for $50. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. 5 Pounds, 2012. London Mint. NGC PROOF-70 Ultra Cameo. Struck to commemorate the countdown to the London Olympics in 2012. Coin is sharply struck with brilliant fields and frosted cameo devices."

Recorded mintage: 65,275 in copper-nickel plus 12,670 in silver plus 2,324 piedforts plus 1,007 in gold.

Specification: KM 1679a: 28.28 g, 0.925 fine silver, 38.6 mm diameter.
