This specimen was lot 44749 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Costa Mesa, CA, August 2021), where it sold for $1,260. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. 2 Pounds, 2012. Llantrisant Mint. PCGS PROOF-69 Deep Cameo Gold Shield. London Olympic handover to Rio. A brilliant Proof with hard mirrored fields and frosted cameo devices."

Recorded mintage: unknown in copper-nickel plus proofs plus 12,000 in silver and 1,200 in gold.

Specification: 12 g, bimetallic (copper-nickel/nickel-brass), 28.4 mm diameter; 0.925 fine silver; 15.98 g, 0.917 fine gold.
