This specimen was part of lot 6659 in CNG Triton XXIX (New York, January 2026), which sold for $196. The catalog description[1] noted, "WINDSOR. Elizabeth II. 1952-2022. Proof AR Maundy Set. Includes: Fourpence // Threepence // Twopence // Penny. Proof. Four (4) coins in lot. In original case of issue. From Dr. R. Craig Kammerer Collection." This type was struck 1954-2023 without change for the Maundy sets. It is a relic of the predecimal sterling system but does not circulate, passing directly from the recipients into collectors' hands.
