This specimen was lot 33141 in Heritage sale 3064 (Chicago, April 2018), where it sold for $228. The catalog description[1] noted, "Edward VII 1/2 Crown 1902 MS64 NGC. A brilliant and lustrous piece with amber toning around the peripheries." This type was struck 1902-10 but the 1902 is the most common in high grade, the first issue of the new type being extensively saved.
Recorded mintage: 1,312,000 + 15,000 proofs.
Specification: 14.14 g, 0.925 fine silver, 32.3 mm diameter.
