This type, struck 1887-93, superseded the young head type struck 1838-87 in various styles. Both were issued in 1887 but the Jubilee head is much more common.

Recorded mintage: 3,676,000 (including young head) plus proofs.

Specification: 2.82 g, 0.925 fine silver, .084 troy oz ASW.
