Great Britain 1604 6 pence KM-12
This specimen was lot 75437 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, September 2025), where it sold for $1,020. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. 6 Pence, 1604. London Mint; mm: Lis. James I. PCGS AU-55. Second Bust. Obverse: Crowned bust right; Reverse: Square-topped coat-of-arms over long cross fourchee. From the Richard August Collection. Ex: Heritage Numismatic Auctions, Inc (1/2003) Lot # 12682." This example has the reverse legend "·EXVRGAT·DEVS·DISSIPENTVR·INIMICI· (Let God arise and His enemies be scattered)", identifying it as KM 12. A later sixpence, with the reverse legend "QUAE·DEVS·CONIVNXIT·NEMO·SEPARET (What God hath joined let no man put asunder)" (KM 25), also exists for 1604.
