This specimen was lot 37020 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2025), where it sold for $456. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. 1/2 Crown, ND (1643-44). London Mint; mm: P in brackets. Charles I. NGC AU-53. Struck under Parliament. Obverse: Charles, holding sword and reins, on horse trotting left; Reverse: Garnished oval coat-of arms." Altho this type has the bust of Charles I, it was struck by Parliament in London while Charles was in the country, raising the royalist standard.
