This specimen was lot 1611 in Sincona sale 82 (Zürich, May 2023), where it sold for 2,600 CHF (about US$3,480 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "Charles I. 1625-1649. Unite of 20 Shillings n. d. (1633-1634), Tower Mint under the King. Group D. Class II. Bust 5. Large head with unjewelled crown. Mintmark "portcullis". NGC VF30. From auction Künker 177, Osnabrück, September 2010, lot 6095." The unite, worth twenty shillings, was the largest gold coin struck for Charles before the Civil War.
