Stack's Bowers February 2024 Collector's Choice sale, lot 74511

This specimen was lot 74511 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2024), where it sold for $40. The catalog description[1] noted, "FRENCH INDO-CHINA. 10 Centimes, 1930-A. Paris Mint. PCGS MS-63. A well-struck and lustrous Choice example with light chatter in line with the assigned grade." This type was issued from the Paris mint 1921-30 and 1937 and superseded a similar design of 0.835 fineness (KM 9) issued 1898-1919. This is a fairly common date.

Recorded mintage: 6,608,000.

Specification: 2.7 g, 0.680 fine silver, .059 troy oz ASW, reeded edge.
