This specimen was lot 793 in Künker sale 293 (Osnabrück, Germany, July 2017), where it sold for €320 (about US$431 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"FRANKFURT, STADT, Gulden 1845. Prachtexemplar. Stempelglanz. (Germany, city of Frankfurt, gulden of 1845. Proof, uncirculated.)"
This denomination, slightly larger than a French two francs, was struck in Frankfurt 1838-63. This date is common for the type, which was issued 1842-55. It was accompanied by a half gulden and double gulden (Dav-642).

Specification: 10.60 g, 0.900 fine silver.
